What is a disability?
According to the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act, a disability is a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a person's major life activities, a record of such an impairment, or being regarded as having such an impairment. "Major life activities" are things people do every day, such as eating, drinking, thinking, speaking, washing, and so on. It also includes major bodily functions like bladder, bowel, and the brain.
