Sometimes lifes events require a familys full attention: a graduation, a wedding, or a household move. Or sometimes caregivers simply need a break to rejuvenate. Caring for a special needs child can stretch a family to its limits. The needs of a medically fragile child often become the central focus of attention, overwhelming and isolating other family members. Respite care can play an important role in maintaining the health and stability of families by giving them a break.
