The Down Syndrome Family Support and Advocacy Group (DSFSAG)

The Down Syndrome Family Support and Advocacy Group (DSFSAG)

The Down Syndrome Family Support and Advocacy Group (DSFSAG) also referred to as Michiana Down Syndrome is a non-for profit 501c3 organization. Our Board is a 100% volunteer and we are proud to serve the St. Joseph, Marshall, LaPorte, Starke and Elkhart counties in Indiana and Cass, St. Joseph and Berrien counties in Michigan.

The DSFSAG was started by parents in the 1980s. Over the years we have grown from just a few families who held family parties a few times a year to an extremely active group with over 200 families and many programs/events throughout the year.

We encourage the members of our group to take part in the programs offered at area disability resource organizations (Logan Center, Hannah & Friends, Reins of Life, to name a few) In addition, we offer grants to help our members with the costs of those programs. In the interest of using our money wisely, we do not duplicate any of the programs that are offered at those organizations.

Common misspellings of "down syndrome" includes downs syndrome, downs syndrom, downs syndrom.

IndianaPop is the state's largest directory of resources for people with disabilities, seniors, and veterans. See how to add your service or organization to the site.
